Usergroup explanations
DF has a unique usergroup system, to help stop corruption. Mods who have made major mistakes in the past or who are new will have less moderation powers and a lower rank.
Here are the rank descriptions:
Ultra Administrators - (not a publicly visible group) The top dog. Only DiamondCardz and co-owners can get this rank, and only the Ultra Administrators can appoint new staff and decide on promotions.
Current Ultra Administrators: DiamondCardz
Administrators - Group of the forum administrators. These users can use the Admin Control Panel, and have all permissions. This rank is extremely hard to acquire. Only administrators can issue bans, although moderators can request them.
Current Administrators: DiamondCardz, whiskers75
Global Moderators - Global Moderators are in here. They're almost admins, and can moderate any forum.
Current Global Moderators: None
Senior Moderators - Senior Moderators have almost reached the position of Global Moderator. They moderate all forums, excluding the critical ones.
Current Senior Moderators: None
Moderators - These people can moderate specific forums that they have been allocated to, up to a maximum of 3 forums per Moderator. They are the core of the staff team and should be respected.
Current Moderators: None
Junior Moderators - These people have passed their Trial Moderator training, but are still working up to being a fully fledged moderator. They can moderate a maximum of 2 forums.
Current Junior Moderators: None
Trial Moderators - Trial Moderators are new recruits. They are going through training, and can only moderate 1 forum.
Current Trial Moderators: devinthedev, peapodamus
Elites - These guys are awesome, and get to earn the coveted diamond name-color! They have passed a set of secret requirements, have a private forum, and are basically awesome.
Here is a hint: Elites will have almost always been the top dogs for non-staff members...
Current Elites: None

Re: Usergroup explanations
No. If he joins and I consider him to be a good member, which I probably would, then he may be put up for public vote to become a trial moderator.xParaDoX wrote:Can master Joseph be admin?
But we don't exactly need more staff with our lack of members at the moment.
Re: Usergroup explanations
So how does this work? Do you host elections or something?

After reviewing it, no, because it's not practical. Ultra Administrators will decide on staff now, with help from senior staff.allen20008 wrote:So how does this work? Do you host elections or something?
